SOIL TYPES : The vineyard planted on hillsides, facing the Dentelles de Montmirail, is located on gray Jurassic land, mainly made of black marl. They are composed of silt, clay and sand.
GRAPE VARIETIES: 50% Grenache, 50% Syrah
VINIFICATION : 100% manual harvest. Sorted in the plot, the harvest is completely broken. During the fermentation a gentle extraction is carried out by daily pumping over as well as load shedding. Maceration lasts on average 25 days.
TASTING NOTES: Dark red color with shimmering reflections. Aromas of red fruits and notes of violets. Rich in the mouth but retains an elegant minerality. Fine and silky tannins.
FOOD AND WINE MATCHING: Ideal with veal, duck, prime rib, curry. Serve at 16 °. To drink young or ageing potential 5 to 7 years.

Romain Duvenay is a talented oenologist associated with the company NewRhône Millésimes, known as one of the finest palates of the region by his peers.
After perfecting his art in Bordeaux, in Languedoc and Burgundy and while working for a national restaurant trade distributor, he quickly falls in love with all the resources of the Rhône Valley, especially for its iconic grape varieties: Grenache , Syrah and Mourvèdre.
Knowing all the finest points of grape varieties and terroirs, in 2010 Romain Duvernay creates the brand which bears his name, showcasing his talent equally with appellations from the north and the south of the Rhône Valley.
In 2016, Jean-Marc Pottiez, creator and developer of major brands in Champagne and Burgundy, and confident in the development potential of a viticultural production region as rich as the Rhone Valley, decided to create the company NewRhône Millésimes. To this end, he teams up with the talented Romain DUVERNAY and buys his signature brand.
Under this signature, Romain Duvernay and Jean-Marc Pottiez then develop several partnerships between domains of the South and the North of the Rhone Valley and the company NewRhône Millésimes, with the aim of finding the most beautiful expressions of the terroirs and grape varieties of this region rich in diversity.
